Basic course for shop stewards

This course is intended for people whose mother language is other than Finnish.

The course is intended for shop stewards especially for new ones.

The aim of the course is to start learning the basic skills and knowledge of a shop steward. The goal is also to understand the duties of a shop steward and to be aware of your rights, which will help you cope with problematic workplace situations.

Key contents:

• shop steward’s basic duties and networks, rights and obligations
• basics of labor law
• cooperation procedure
• the basics of negotiation
• the trust of the trustee and the membership
• become a good shop steward
• the meaning and the future of the trade union movement.

Registration at the latest:

Participation in this training requires the approval of one’s supervisor, so the registration will only be confirmed after the application has been processed.
