for retail supervisors
1.2.2023–31.1.2025

The collective agreement for retail supervisors is adhered to at companies enganged in retail. The agreement applies to retail supervisors covered by the Working Hours Act and cash-and-carry supervisors as referred to in the Collective agreement for the Commerce Sector.

Supervisors act as shop managers, the people in charge of shops or departments or in equivalent positions. The supervisor is responsible for the service or other operational readiness of the shop or department within the limits of his/her authority.

The working conditions are determined in accordance with the provisions applying to sales assistants in the Collective agreement for the Commerce Sector, with the exceptions set out in this collective agreement.

Negotiating parties: Service Union United PAM and Finnish Commerce Federation.

Collective agreement settlement 2025

PAM and the Finnish Commerce Federation reached a settlement on a new collective agreement for commerce sector supervisors on 5 March 2025.

The agreement period is three years, from 1 February 2025 to 31 January 2028. However, the agreement can be terminated to end already on 31 January 2027.

Wages in the sector will increase:

  • 1 May 2025: 2.9 percent
  • 1 August 2026: 2.5 percent
  • 1 May 2027: 2.4 percent

In addition, a new remuneration system will be introduced in October 2026.

Key changes in the collective agreement for supervisors

As part of the settlement, it was agreed that the annual discussion obligation for supervisors will also better consider improving the possibilities of performing administrative tasks and the impact of any on-call and standby systems on supervisors’ workload.

It was also agreed to establish a working group with the aim of further promoting occupational health and well-being.
