New skills for customer service work

The Asiakaspalvelun ammattilainen (customer service professional) training program, first offered last spring, is continuing this autumn. The training will now be provided remotely and will focus on building customer experience, improving communication skills, and recognizing your own strengths.

— The training was definitely of practical use. Through different exercises, I understood my strengths and weaknesses better, says Kimmo Tacklin from Tampere, who attended the spring training.

Kimmo’s career path has taken him from healthcare and the restaurant industry to his current role at Scandic Rosendahl Hotel in Tampere, where he manages meeting services, technical presentations, and student guidance. He gained concrete tools from the training, especially for handling challenging situations.

Kimmo says that not only was the training useful, but it also increased his appreciation for customer service work in general.

— I realized how diverse our work is and how crucial communication skills are for success.

He recommends the training to anyone working in customer service.

— Don’t hesitate! The pace of change in the work environment means it’s worth investing in developing your skills.
