The negotiators are working intensively to reach an agreement. Negotiations in the sector will take place on Sunday for the third time this week. The negotiations have entered a critical phase where great efforts now being made to reach an agreement. – Economic uncertainty has especially impacted employees and businesses in the tourism and restaurant sector. We, the negotiators, are working with determination to secure the best possible agreement for our members, says Sirpa Leppäkangas, PAM’s Director of Collective Bargaining. The current collective agreements for employees and supervisors in the hotel, restaurant, and tourism sector will expire on March 31 — that is, next Monday. – Our members are closely following the situation and standing behind the negotiators, says Aki Rouhiainen, PAM’s Organising Manager. Negotiations on new collective agreements for the sector have been ongoing since the end of February.
