The collective agreement negotiations in the property services sector are proceeding intensively. This week, PAM and the Real Estate Employers met three times. The sector’s current collective agreement expires on March 31. If no agreement is reached by the end of the month, the sector will enter a non-contractual period, during which the obligation to maintain industrial peace will no longer be in effect. – Negotiations have continued in a good spirit, even though there are many issues on the table. This week, we have continued discussions on working time issues, including the system for mid-week public holidays, says PAM’s collective bargaining specialist Kaarina Ahonen. Additionally, matters related to protection against dismissal and local bargaining have been discussed. The current collective agreement for the property services sector does not contain provisions on individual dismissals, meaning that dismissal grounds have been determined according to labour legislation. Negotiations on the collective agreement for the property services sector will continue next week with several meetings.
