PAM and its partners offer many types of services to unemployed members. Enter education, become familiar with career coaching or apply for an affordable subsidised holiday. Unemployment fund As a member of PAM, you are also a member of the Unemployment Fund of Service Union United. The unemployment fund will pay you an earnings-related unemployment allowance if you lose your job or are laid off. PAM’s career coaching for jobseekers Did you know that PAM also offers its unemployed members personal support in finding a job and their own path in working life? With the aid of the coaching, you will be able to better identify your own skills and receive support in jobseeking or mapping study opportunities. PAM offers card training to the unemployed PAM supports its unemployed members by offering them card training. An unemployed member of PAM can participate in one card training per year at PAM’s expense. Unemployed members can choose from hygiene passport, occupational safety card and first aid training, for example. Read more about card training! Subsidised holidays at affordable prices for the unemployed Palkansaajien hyvinvointi ja terveys ry (Finnish Association for the Well-being and Health of Employed Persons (PHT) and Hyvinvointilomat ry organises subsidised holidays for which unemployed persons can also apply. The holidays are less expensive for the unemployed. The holidays are funded from the revenue of Veikkaus with the support of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health. PHT ry’s subsidised holidays PHT ry offers well-being holidays for both families and people of working age in dozens of locations around Finland. Unemployed people get the holiday for half price. Subsidised holiday periods for the unemployed by Hyvinvointilomat ry You can also apply for Hyvinvointilomat ry’s subsidised holiday periods for the unemployed. PAM will pay the unemployed member’s deductible €50 afterwards. Tatsi support activities Tatsi, or the Support Association for Unemployed Trade Union Members, is a lobbying and service organisation for the unemployed. Tatsi advocates for the unemployed and organises support activities, training, and peer support and discussion events for those outside working life. Tatsi also offers tips and aid in jobseeking, as well as open communal workspaces and meeting places in Porvoo and Tuusula. Take a look at Tatsi’s activities and join in!
