Negotiations in the hotel and restaurant sector continued – decisive week ahead

The pace of the collective agreement negotiations in the hotel and restaurant sector is picking up this week. The current collective agreement is valid until the end of March.

Negotiations on new collective agreements in the hotel and restaurant sector have been ongoing since the end of February. The negotiating parties met on Monday for the fourth time and continued discussing text-based objectives.

– Progress has been made regarding the texts. However, there are still many issues that need to be agreed upon, commented  collective bargaining specialist Raimo Hoikkala.

The current collective agreement in the hotel and restaurant sector is valid until the end of March. The pace of negotiations is intensifying this week,

– We will continue negotiations on Friday. Both parties hope to reach an agreement before the current collective agreement expires, he said.

In the negotiations, PAM is advocating for fair wages, improvements to the position of part-time workers, support for coping at work, and more influence over one’s own work and shift planning.

Collective bargaining 2024-2025

In collective bargaining, PAM and the employers’ associations negotiate collective agreements with pay rises and other terms of employment for all workers in private service sectors.
